Operations Analyst IV

Summary/Objective

This Operations Analyst works with internal and external customers to ensure expectations and commitments are met. Provides support, information, prioritization and coordination of activities and resources.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • All responsibilities of the Operations Analyst, plus the following:
  • Assist in oversight of Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) through audits and report analysis
  • Represent Kuvare in TPA oversight meetings
  • Ensure escalated customer inquiries are handled in a timely manner.
  • Support management by escalating employee-related concerns and serving as a backup.
  • Assist and train Operations Analysts. Provide guidance to peers on technical issues.
  • Assure effective and efficient processing workloads, allocation of job responsibilities.
  • Work with staff to ensure that minimum standards are maintained, determine ways to improve service and ways to provide same.
  • Provide general contract benefit information to insurers and agents in all areas of company.
  • Respond to agents and insureds’ questions, requests & concerns regarding policy contract in writing, and also by telephone on a daily basis.
  • Review current processes and procedures to detail improvements to be implemented. Testing of same.
  • Subject matter expert for projects.

Experience:

  • Associate degree or Equivalent work experience.
  • FLMI (Fellow of Life, Management Institute) desirable, otherwise Expected to have accreditation within 5 years.
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience working directly with the customers in an insurance customer service environment.
  • General life insurance and annuity knowledge with expectation of company product specific knowledge within 6 months
  • 8 + years’ experience providing customer service and transaction processing support in insurance or financial services.

Physical Demands:

  • Normal office working environment
  • Occasional evening and weekend hours to meet deadlines
  • Occasional travel is required
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
  • Ability to type / perform data entry
  • Ability to read from a computer screen and paper reports
