Position Overview
The VP of Client Portfolio Management will join the New York-based KIS team, reporting to the Head of Portfolio Management, and have direct oversight of clients’ asset portfolio and investment activity across all markets with primary focus in the the Private Corporate and Structured Credit and Commercial Real Estate markets. The individual will work closely with the Head of Portfolio Management and investment team members and will be responsible to the lead communication of investment activity and portfolio performance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Primary point of contact for all investment related matters on relevant clients
- Lead weekly pipeline generation and deal communication to relevant clients
- Manage the deal allocation process in accordance with portfolio guidelines and the KIS allocation policy
- Proactively communicate with clients on market developments and portfolio activity
- Lead quarterly portfolio reviews, including generation of client communication materials in coordination with Client Relationship Manager and Operations & Reporting teams
- Provide support for weekly, monthly, and quarterly portfolio monitoring processes
- Generate customized and/or ad-hoc analysis for both internal and external consumption
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher. MBA and/or CFA Charter preferred
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in general asset management, including client facing responsibilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of the operating functions of an asset manager: Origination, Compliance, Reporting.
- Experience within or with an insurance company investment function a plus.
- Strong results orientation and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and genuine willingness and desire to learn
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, ability to multi-task and manage several projects at a time.
